Okanagan Hockey Camps is now accepting resumes for Assistant On Ice Instructors for our 2020 summer camp operations in Calgary, AB, Edmonton, AB, Kelowna, BC, and Penticton, BC. Overview

  • Guide players through all on and off ice activities
  • Responsible for safety and well-being of players
  • Model positive and appropriate behaviour to players and other OH staff
  • Provide feedback and encouragement throughout activities

Responsibilities

  • Assist Head Instructor with on-ice drills. Be prepared by learning program and drills prior to the start of ice session.
  • Engage with students and provide feedback and correction on skating, shooting, passing, checking and puck handling techniques
  • Set up and demonstrate drill as required by Head Instructor
  • Monitor and assist in dressing rooms pre and post ice sessions
  • Monitor players during office activities
  • Assist with instruction and feedback in off-ice training sessions and in the Skills Centre
  • Carry out all of the Policies and Procedures as set forth by OHG.

Salary to commensurate with experience. Candidates must be able to commit to the entire duration of the camp and if over the age of 18 will be required to pass a Criminal Record Check.
