OHA Edmonton General Manager Randall Weber announced today that Travis Clayton has been named Head Coach of the U15 team.
“OHA Edmonton is very fortunate to have landed Travis as a Head Coach within our program. His skill set, communication style and passion for the game align with OHA’s vision and he will be a great addition to the coaching staff. We are confident in his ability to guide our student-athletes through the levels of the game and help them reach their next goals,” said OHA Edmonton GM Randall Weber.
Clayton joins OHA after serving as the Whitecourt Wolverines’ (AJHL) Associate Coach. Prior to his time with the Wolverines, he served as Technical Director of the Sherwood Park Kings Athletics Club, as well as the U18AAA Head Coach. Additionally, Clayton was the Head Coach of the Lloydminster Bobcats (AJHL), and coached the Lloydminster Elite Division, winning provincial titles at the AAA level in U15 and U18. He is also the owner of Clayton Conditioning, which offers on-ice and dryland training for hockey players in Canada & United States.
“I am really excited for this opportunity to be part of one of the best hockey development programs in the country and I am excited to work with a very good coaching staff, and the rest of the OHA staff this season,” said Clayton.
