Penticton, BC – Five different skaters had multi-point nights as Okanagan Hockey Academy White skated to a 6-0 win over the Yale Hockey Academy on Sunday afternoon, capturing the 2015 Prep Division Championship for the second consecutive season.

PrepWhiteChampsCrop.jpgJordan Bellerive, Hayden Dick, Brendan Semchuk and Taylor Ward each tallied a goal and assist for Okanagan White, which held leads of 3-0 after 20 minutes and 4-0 going into the final frame.

Josh Maser and Maxim Patterson rounded out the Okanagan White attack, each scoring once in the game, while Nolan Hildebrand made 18 saves for the shutout.

This marks the second year in a row the Okanagan Hockey Academy has claimed the Prep Division Championship. The Edge School for Athletes won the title from 2010-2013 before Okanagan was able to knock them off in the 2014 Championship Game in Vernon.

Being a part of the Okanagan Hockey Academy has been an extremely rewarding and unforgettable experience. It has enabled me to gain confidence and acquire life long skills expanding beyond the game of hockey. The balance between academics and athletics is superb, allowing you to achieve your ultimate success. The academy assisted me in achieving my dream of playing hockey at the NCAA level while studying Pre-Medicine. Without this caring support group, none of this would have been possible and I am forever grateful.
