The Whitby, Ont. based Okanagan Hockey Ontario U18 team will head to Penticton, B.C. from November 3 to 11 and train at the Okanagan Hockey Training Centre.

“This will be an amazing experience for our student athletes to see the original operations in Penticton and see how far they have come and the success within the organization,” said Mike Duco, Head Coach of the Okanagan Hockey Ontario U18 team. “Secondly this is a great opportunity for our athletes to showcase themselves in front of scouts from Western Canada.”

The trip will consist of five games against western Canadian Sport School Hockey League members including the Okanagan Hockey Academy in Penticton and the Pursuit of Excellence in Kelowna, as well as on and off ice training.

At Okanagan Hockey Ontario our primary focus is to promote the long-term development of each of our athletes in the classroom, on the ice, and in the community. Putting young, motivated people in a structured environment, surrounded by a world class staff and support system, allows us to deliver a consistent message and value system that we feel is imperative to the long term development of our students.

Looking for a program you can trust?

We have over 50 years of experience.

Choosing Okanagan Hockey Academy was one of the best decisions I have made for my development. The relationships I built with my teammates, coaches, and staff are bonds that will last a lifetime. The structure of the program on and off the ice prepared me to play junior hockey.
