OHA Edmonton wins Bantam Prep Championship

oha-edmonton-championship-crop.jpgSean Tschigerl (Edmonton, AB) scored three times, powering OHA Edmonton to a 6-1 win over the Rink Hockey Academy to capture the 2018 CSSHL Bantam Prep Championship.

Jonah Bevington (Yellowknife, NT) added a goal and assist, while Kyle Masters (Edmonton, AB) and Reese MacLean (Edmonton, AB) each chipped in with a single as OHA Edmonton scored five unanswered goals to close out the game after a 1-1 opening period.

Drew Sim (Tees, AB) was the winning goaltender, stopping 37-of-38 shots fired his way, including all 13 in the final frame.

Keenan Allan (Warman, SK) had the lone goal for Rink, while netminder Tyler Brennan (Winnipeg, MB) finished with 31 saves.

The two teams, both in their second year of existence, finished first and second respectively in the regular season standings.
