The Okanagan Hockey Academy is pleased to congratulate alum Emily Clark on being named to the Canadian National Women’s Team for the upcoming 2014 Four Nations Cup.
Clark, 18, is one of 13 forwards and 23 players overall to be named to the National Team that will compete against Finland, Sweden and the United States starting November 4th in Kamloops, BC.
The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan product tied for the team lead in points for the OHA Female Prep team during the 2013-14 season, netting 46 (22-24-46) in 40 games. She currently has three goals and three assists and is +6 for the University of Wisconsin through only four games this year. Clark was named the WCHA Rookie of the Week on October 7th after recording three points in her NCAA debut.
The Four Nations Cup serves as an opportunity for all players to be evaluated in advance of the 2015 IIHF Women’s World Championship, which will be held in Malmo, Sweden in April.
Clark has represented Canada on multiple occasions, most notably at the 2012 and 2013 IIHF Women’s Under-18 Championships where she won back-to-back gold medals.
Going to OHA was one of the greatest decisions I have made for my hockey career. OHA prepared me for the next level. Skating, strength, speed, conditioning. I wouldn't be the player and person that I am today if I hadn’t chosen OHA."
