Okanagan Hockey Academy UK is proud to announce that four U18 Academy students have been selected to play for the England U19 team against Scotland U19s in Sheffield this Friday.
The four players are: Luc Johnson, Michael Stratford, Toms Rutkis, and Glenn Billing.
The OHA students, all forwards, will be playing in the Junior International that kicks off the EIHA Inter-conference Tournament weekend for the third year running. The game faces-off on Friday, 1st May at 8pm. For the first time in almost 20 years, Scotland come into the game as holders of the Frank Dempster Bowl following their 6-4 win in Hull last year. Admission for the junior international is free of charge.
Commenting on the call-ups OHA UK Assistant GM Paul Kelsall said "It's a great reward for these four to be able to showcase their skills in this game. It has been, and continues to be, a very busy end of season at OHA UK but the boys will take their call-up in their stride. The weekly on and off-ice schedule at the Academy means our students are always ready to play. From the organisation's point of view it's very pleasing and we are very proud to have such a big representation in the U19 national side."
