The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder played the 2012-13 season with OHA Varsity Black and the 2013-14 season with the CSSHL champion OHA Varsity Red.

"I signed with Drumheller because I've only heard great things about Coach Curran and the coaching staff and I love the winning mentality and how the team is run,” stated Bukovec. “Being given the opportunity to grow in a community on a team that is always a competitor in the AJHL is a dream.”

Bukovec was the leading scorer on Prep Red this past season, while also finishing sixth in CSSHL Prep Division scoring with 52 points (23-29-52) in 28 games.

Being a part of the Okanagan Hockey Academy has been an extremely rewarding and unforgettable experience. It has enabled me to gain confidence and acquire life long skills expanding beyond the game of hockey. The balance between academics and athletics is superb, allowing you to achieve your ultimate success. The academy assisted me in achieving my dream of playing hockey at the NCAA level while studying Pre-Medicine. Without this caring support group, none of this would have been possible and I am forever grateful.
