Mike Brown

 Camp Coordinator

  • Grew up in Calgary playing for Trails West and Royals Hockey Associations.
  • Played 3 seasons in the WHL for the Swift Current Broncos and Tri-City Americans and 1 Season in AJHL for the Okotoks Oilers.
  • Played 3 Seasons in the CIS for The MRU Cougars while taking Sport and Recreation Management.
  • 6 Years coaching for the Calgary Royals at the Bantam AAA and AA level.


Robert Trzonkowski

 Assistant Coordinator/Instructor

  • Played my minor hockey in Southeast Calgary before playing 3 seasons with the Calgary Buffalo's
  • Played 4 seasons in the Western Hockey League - (Calgary Hitmen, Kamloops Blazers, Vancouver Giants)
  • Won a bronze medal playing for Team Pacific at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge
  • Attended Canada’s 2011 National Men’s Summer Under-18 top-40 Selection Camp 
  • Played CIS hockey for the 2014-2015 Mount Royal Cougars Men's team/Earning Academic All-Canadian status
  • Attended Mount Royal University earning a bachelor's degree in Sport Management with a double minor in General Business and Innovation/Entrepreneurship 
  • Currently completing a master's degree at the University of Alberta with a focus in Sport Management and Sport Tourism
  • 3rd year working with Okanagan Hockey Academy


Mark Rassell

 Head Instructor

  • Grew up in Calgary playing for the Crowfoot Hockey Association before moving onto play for the NWCAA 
  • Played 4 seasons in the WHL for the Medicine Hat Tigers
  • Final season in the WHL scored 50 goals and served as Team Captain 
  • Attended two NHL Training camps with the Los Angeles Kings and the Calgary Flames
  • Currently playing for and attending the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.
  • National Champion with the UNB Reds in rookie season
  • Earned Academic All-Canadian status along with AUS All-Rookie Team honours.
  • 3 Years coaching Okanagan Hockey Schools.


Ryan Stoynich

Head Instructor

  • Played minor hockey for Simons Valley and the Calgary Northstars.
  • 3-year AJHL Career.  
  • Currently playing at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota while majoring in Actuarial Science.
  • 3 Years coaching Okanagan Hockey Camps.


Emma Neff


  • Played Midget AAA for the past three years on the Calgary Fire.
  • Played boys hockey until bantam then I switched to girls, where I’ve played AAA since then.
  • This fall I’ll be attending the University of Lethbridge, where I’ll be playing on the women’s hockey team, and studying a bachelor of science, with a minor in education.
  • I went to the OHC camps for 4 years before I started working there, and I’m going into my fourth year of being a staff member.

Josh Mahura

At the end of grade nine, my parents and I decided it would be beneficial for both my hockey and scholastic development to attend OHA the next year. We toured other hockey academies, but ultimately felt OHA was the best fit for me. The coach’s and trainer’s expertise allowed me to learn more about the game, further develop my skills, strength and stamina and readied me to enter the WHL as a competent and confident 16 year old. With the support of great teachers and tutors my grades improved and I made friends that will last a lifetime.
