  • Daily ice session on body contact instruction
  • Daily ice session focusing on improving speed and skill
  • Teaching a heads up mentality, with a progression of angling, contact confidence, progressing to body contact with purpose
  • Emphasis on player protection, puck protection, giving and receiving a legal check¬†
  • The camp is designed to better prepare athletes moving in to the Bantam Rep level
  • On Ice Combine Testing to identify areas of focus
  • Speed and skill development. Improve agility and balance as hitting comes in to play
  • Off ice to focus on how to begin to gain strength and conditioning
  • Learning how to work out and prepare as an elite athlete
  • 2.5 hours per day ice time
  • Daily off ice activity or lectures

At the end of grade nine, my parents and I decided it would be beneficial for both my hockey and scholastic development to attend OHA the next year. We toured other hockey academies, but ultimately felt OHA was the best fit for me.
