“Through my professional hockey career I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some amazing players and coaches. Taking something from each of them, while coaching myself for years. I will provide each athlete the opportunity to grow their game while doing so in a competitive and fun environment. I take pride in not only helping develop these young athletes as players but as people too. We will work on skills that actually translate to game play, position specific, situational play, compete, taking contact, making body checks, and end each week with a scrimmage to put the week of work together. I will be looking to improve each ice time with detailed progression throughout the training program. I look forward to seeing you all this summer!”

Colton was born and raised in Langley, B.C. where he ended up playing Junior A Hockey in the BCHL for the Hometown Chiefs. After putting up 63 points (36 G, 27 A) in 60 games followed by 86 points (39 G, 47 A) in 60 games he earned a NCAA Division 1 Scholarship to the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In Colton’s senior year he was the captain and put up 39 points in 37 games. After his college career he started his professional career with the Minnesota Wild organization spending time in the American League with the Iowa Wild. This past season during Covid, Colton signed with the Stockton Heat (Playing out of Calgary) the AHL affiliate to the Calgary Flames. Colton would be recognized by many people in the Central Okanagan as he has worked at Okanagan Hockey Camps Co-Running a Speed and Skills camp with his former AHL coach Brett McLean (summer 2020), Okanagan Hockey Academy as a skills coach (2020 – 2021 season), and skating on the Pro Ice Sessions at CNC over the last few years.

At the end of grade nine, my parents and I decided it would be beneficial for both my hockey and scholastic development to attend OHA the next year. We toured other hockey academies, but ultimately felt OHA was the best fit for me. The coach’s and trainer’s expertise allowed me to learn more about the game, further develop my skills, strength and stamina and readied me to enter the WHL as a competent and confident 16 year old. With the support of great teachers and tutors my grades improved and I made friends that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend OHA for the player who is looking to take their game, grades and life skills to the next level."
