I can say that my two years at OHA Edmonton was easily the two best years of my life. They taught me so much on the ice, but more importantly off the ice. They do an amazing job of making sure your academics are taken as seriously as your hockey. They teach you life skills, such as respect for coaches, teammates, staff, teachers, tutors, and parents. On the ice they have world class coaches, and trainers that will help you get to the next level. I can truly say that I wouldn’t be in the position I am in today if I haven’t chosen OHA Edmonton for two of my years of minor hockey, OHA is truly an amazing program."

Jeff Waronek

My time at OHA Edmonton was an awesome experience. We had great coaches that always worked with us on our skills and to make us better. The schooling at OHA Edmonton was excellent as well, as we had tutors and constant help both on the road and at home to help us succeed in our academics. Not only did I develop on the ice, I also developed off the ice as well and learned a lot of life and people skills. It was an honour to be there for the inaugural season!"

Looking for a program you can trust?

We have over 50 years of experience.

In 2010 I was fortunate enough to play at the Okanagan Hockey Academy on the Midget Prep team. With coaches like Robert Dirk and Greg Holst it was an unbelievable year. I have to this day still never been on such a close-knit team. It was my first year of midget hockey and that meant a lot more travel. Playing in the CSSHL I got the opportunity to play in some pretty awesome spots. The league helped me learn to stay on top of school, which has helped me not only in college but also in junior. I was able to make an easy jump to junior and college academically with the help of Dave Nackoney, a guidance counselor at Penticton Secondary School who works with all the student athletes. To this day if I need anything he is always more than willing to help. It is the great staff that left such an impression on me, and made it possible for me to be where I am today.
