The Penticton Spring Development Camp is a progressive skill development camp that will work on the critical skills that young players need to play at elite levels. The camp is for both goalies and skaters and is open to male and female players born between 2005-2008.


The camp runs from April 3 to May 31, 2017 at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Each ice session is 1.25 hours long from 5:15-6:30pm each night. DATES: April 3, 5, 18, 19, 26, 27. May 8, 10, 15, 17, 23, 24, 29, 31

Capacity is 24 skaters and four goalies | Cost is $399 per player

The evening ice times will focus on:

Puck Skills

  • Passing
  • Pass receiving
  • Stickhandling
  • Carrying the puck
  • Puck protection skills
  • Shooting: technique, accuracy and release

Skating and Individual Skills

  • Creating power and acceleration
  • Lateral mobility
  • Improve agility and balance
  • Pivot and tight turns
  • Angling and checking skills
  • Over speed training with pucks
